Specifications include, but are not limited to: direct trauma therapy services for young crime victims at no cost to the family. By contracting with independent therapists or an organization qualified to provide child-focused therapies, we will begin to meet the trauma therapy gap experienced by children affected by substance abuse. Eligible cases will include: 1. Clients from birth -17 years of age; 2. Clients referred by a child- or family-serving agency to trauma therapy through the Local Care Team (a detailed description of the Local Care Team’s role and responsibility will be provided later in the document); 3. Case manager makes referral based on the effects of substance abuse on the child or family and; 4. Child may be the victim of a range of crimes including, but not limited to: child abuse, criminal neglect, assault, sexual abuse/assault, theft, exploitation, endangering the welfare of a child, human trafficking and kidnapping etc. A crime does not have to be reported to authorities for a child or youth to be eligible to receive services provided through this solicitation and program.
