Specifications include, but are not limited to:The general scope of services shall consist of supplying school buses, bus drivers, and attendants (on an as needed basis) for daily transportation of students to and from school for identified school bus routes. Transportation services will commence SY 2018-19. The school year calendar is established each year by The Board of Education. Additionally, the daily operational schedule for each school facility is established by The Board at the same time. Contractor(s) will receive primary operational directions and route assignments from year-to-year and may receive changes during the course of a given school year from the Department of Transportation. Contractors will be required to furnish and/or provide all labor, vehicles, equipment, parts, and other materials required for the safe operation of the school bus including, driver and attendant services, required inspections, physical exams, insurance, maintenance, repairs, and motor fuel and lubricants. Contractor(s) shall comply and provide services in accordance with Federal, State, Local, as well as policies established by The Board of Education of Prince George’s County. Contractors shall make every effort to ensure the safety of all individuals during work, as well as, during operation. All work is to be handled in complete compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MOSHA) requirements and all current county and state codes. Contractors will be required to complete the attached 2018 Contractor’s Qualification Application for Student Transportation Services for School Bus Routes. PGCPS will utilize the Qualification Application, along with the following criteria to pre-qualify all applicants:
