Specifications include, but are not limited to: Proposals for the 2019/2020 school year for curriculum covered in this adoption cycle of the Single Textbook Adoption Program. Adoption of instructional materials is driven by standards, assessments, and curriculum for the given course. AACPS engages in ongoing curriculum development using the following strategy: 1. Start with standards to identify the desired results; 2. Unpack and scaffold the standards; 3. Develop the assessments; 4. Evaluate the assessment; 5. Design the teaching and learning experiences for the student; 6. Build differentiated instructional strategies to meet the needs of the learner. Therefore, instructional materials must align well to the standards of the course. Proposals must indicate how the Respondent’s materials align to the standards. In the event that the Respondent’s materials do no fully align to the standards, the Respondent must clearly identify these areas.
