Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Remove one (1) existing wall hung or floor mounted electric water cooler or drinking water fountain unit in the Multipurpose Room/Cafeteria area, or other location per PGCPS direction. 2. Verify that existing unit drains properly. 3. Snake existing drain pipe to completely clear any blockage or obstruction. 4. Re-pipe existing plumbing as necessary to install new electric water cooler per manufacture’s recommendation. 5. Saw cut existing wall (masonry, ceramic, and drywall or plaster wall) opening as necessary to accommodate new installation. 6. Locate existing isolation valve in the area. If none exists, install a new sweat ball isolation valve sized to existing pipe. Coordinate with PGCPS for water shut down to accommodate. 7. Install new water valve (5/8”x3/8”angle/straight compression stop) and 1 ¼” diameter drain pipe (p-trap or tubular trap) as applicable. 8. Install stainless steel plate to cover existing and/or new wall opening. The plate shall have a 2 hour fire rating minimum and be firmly secured to the wall with stainless steel screws flush to the face of plate. Seal all edges, gaps and pipe penetrations of steel plate with fire rated caulk. Eliminate sharp points, corners and edges of steel plate. Steel plate shall be just wide enough to cover wall opening and be firmly secured to the wall. 9. Install new electric water cooler unit per manufacturer’s recommendation. Provide adequate structural framing support inside drywall or plaster wall as needed to mount new unit. Seal around new cooler unit at wall/stainless steel plate with clear silicone caulk. 10. Provide single or bi-level cooler unit as specified under Equipment Specifications. Bidder must submit equipment specifications sheet with bid submission. 11. Furnish extra five cases of the replacement filters for each cooler unit. 12. New electric water cooler shall be connected to existing electrical wiring/outlet and be energized. 13. Repair defective electrical outlet. Replace non GFI outlet with new GFI outlet. 14. Provide new GFI electrical wiring/outlet with dedicated 20amp circuit where there is no existing electrical wiring. Connect to new cooler unit and energize. New electrical wiring shall be in metal wire mold or EMT conduit. Coordinate work with PGCPS for location of asbestos containing material, identification and abatement by PGCPS prior to commencing work.
