Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall conduct all Work under the direction of the DPSCS designated on-site representative, the Contract Monitor (CM) or his designee. The Division of Capital Construction and Facilities Maintenance (DCCFM) will provide any support with as-built documentation as requested and as available. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to the following: • Furnish and install all required labor and materials for the replacement of existing roofing on the entire Building “K” including the upper level mechanical room roof. Refer to reference drawing A1-14. • Remove and legally dispose of existing multiple layered roofing systems and components, including membrane, insulation, base sheets, flexible and metal flashings, and associated materials and components. • Repair any deteriorated concrete deck. Include 500 Sq. Ft. as part of the Base Bid. • Provide a price for 100 sq. ft. of Concrete Deck Repair as the Unit Price Number one (1) in the Construction Price Bid Form, Attachment ‘J’. • Prepare the concrete deck to receive new roof. • Furnish and install new adhered thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) membrane roofing system with white fabric reinforced TPO membrane of a nominal thickness of 80 mil. The new roof system shall include all manufacturers’ required/recommended system components, including insulation, roof board, vapour retarder, base flashings, roof accessories, roof drains, coping, walk pad, striping, and associated components. (Division 07 Section 07 54 19 - Thermoplastic Roofing). • Furnish and install new 2”x 6” Pressure Treated wood blocking at perimeter edges, walls, fascia, and penetrations. (Division 06 - Section 06 10 00 - Rough Carpentry). • Furnish and install new multi-layered insulation systems with an Average Aged R Value of 30 throughout the roof areas. (Division 07 - Section 07 22 00 - Roof and Deck Insulation). • Furnish and install new perimeter aluminum sheet metal flashings and counter-flashings and miscellaneous sheet metal fabrications. (Division 07 - Section 07 60 00 - Flashing and Sheet Metal Division 06 Metals). • Clean all existing downspouts and replace existing roof drains with new manufacturer approved drains. • Remove existing roof hatch on Building “J” and replaced with new lockable roof hatch manufactured by Bilco or approved equal with guard rails in accordance with OSHA and MOSH. Submit shop drawings for approval by the Owner/DPSCS.
