Specifications include, but are not limited to: C.Project Administration1.The City Schools Project Manager will administer project design, submissions and reviews included in the Scope of Work.2.Deviations from the project scope, budget, schedules, or other contract related parameters are to be coordinated through the Director, Facilities Design and Construction or designee. Document requests or notifications of changes in contract-related parameters are to be submitted in writing to the Director, stating the reason(s) for and effect of the proposed changes. Changes in the Architect’s scope of work involving changes in contract time and fee require the approval of the Director, Facilities Design and Construction or designee prior to starting the work.D.Schematic Design Phase1.The Architect shall use the approved Educational Specifications to prepare the Schematic Design documents for further approval by City Schools and other members of the Project Team. Educational Specifications will be developed by City Schools.The Architect shall provide Schematic Design documents in accordance with the most recent guidelines and requirements of the Maryland Interagency Commission on School Construction (IAC) and the Maryland State Department of General Services (DGS).2.Kick-Off Meeting: Immediately following receipt of notice to proceed on theproject, the Architect will attend a "Schematic Design Kick-Off Meeting" to discuss general project parameters and proposed design of systems andequipment with City Schools staff. The Architect is to prepare minutes of this meeting with copies to City Schools. 3.Design shall include cost estimate developed by a Professional Cost Estimator and presented on appropriate forms in accordance with IAC/PSCP and DGS requirements.
