Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Route 705 1. The selected Contractor shall operate Route 705 which provides service between St. Mary’s County, MD and Washington D.C. and consists of seventeen daily north-bound trips and sixteen daily south-bound trips including: a. Seventeen morning trips, Monday through Friday during Peak Periods between 4:15 A.M. and 9:04 A.M. between St. Marys Count, MD and Washington D.C. b. Sixteen afternoon trips, Monday through Friday during Peak Periods between 2:20 P.M. and 7:39 P.M. between Washington D.C. and St. Mary’s County, MD. 2. Route 705 morning service includes the following areas going Northbound to Washington D.C.: a. In St. Mary’s County: Charlotte Hall Shopping Center. b. In Charles County: Mattawoman Beantown P & R c. In Washington D.C.: 7 th St. bet. D & E Sts., S.W. (HUD).; 7th St. & Maryland Ave., S.W. (L’Enfant Plaza).; Pennsylvania Ave. & 7th St., N.W. (Archives).; Pennsylvania Ave. & 10th St., N.W. (FBI, Justice).; 12th St. & G St., N.W. (Metro Center). 3. Route 705 afternoon service includes the following areas going Southbound to St. Mary’s County, MD: a. In Washington D.C.: 11th St. & H St., N.W. (Metro Center).; Pennsylvania Ave. & 10th St., N.W. (FBI, Justice).; Pennsylvania Ave. & 9th St., N.W.; 7th St. & Maryland Ave., S.W. (L’Enfant Plaza).; 7th St. bet. D & E Sts., S.W. (HUD) b. In Charles County: Mattawoman Beantown P & R. c. In St. Mary’s County: Golden Beach Park & Ride (Charlotte Hall).; Charlotte Hall Shopping Center.; *Golden Beach Park & Ride is upon request only A. Contractor Provided Equipment 1. The Contractor is responsible for providing lift-equipped buses for all the commuter runs. 2. The Contract requires buses to be fifty-five (55) passenger or larger over-the-road (OTR) type buses for the required commuter bus service. 3. The Contractor is responsible for the provision of backup (spare) transit vehicles as necessary in the event that a vehicle becomes inoperative or is out-of-service for maintenance. B. Type of Vehicle 1. The Contractor shall provide OTR vehicles measuring a minimum of forty-five (45) feet in length with a minimum seating capacity for fifty-five (55) people. 2. At no time during the term of the Contract shall any Contractor owned bus be older than model year 2016 or have more than one million odometer miles. 3. Vehicles are required to have properly functioning, operable air conditioning and heating units and shall maintain a comfort level of 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit inside the coach whenever passengers are on board.
