Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Maryland Environmental Service is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified Contractors to beneficially re-use the biosolids generated by the MCI WWTP. For the purposes of this contract, beneficial reuse is defined as recycling the lime stabilized product generated by the WWTP for use as a soil amendment and organic nutrient source. Examples of beneficial re-use are land application to farmland or marginal sites, composting and marketing the material. The contractor shall provide all necessary loading, transportation, off-site storage, management, site permitting, and final utilization of biosolids produced by the MCI WWTP to execute the beneficial re-use program outlined in this scope-of-work. All tasks covered under this project shall meet Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 503, and all applicable State and Local regulations.
