Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.2.1.1 The Contractor shall furnish supervision, labor, and equipment to perform work described below. 3.2.1.2 All work under this Contract shall utilize the categories of labor set forth in the Unit Price Schedule. 3.2.1.3 The Contractor shall provide these services per hour on an as- needed basis. 3.2.1.4 All charges/hours for direct services and/or standby hours provided shall be verified by the MTA Light Rail Project Manager. 3.2.1.5 Standby time shall be paid at an hourly rate equal to 50% of the direct service hourly rate. Standby time is defined as the time designated by the MTA Light Rail Project Manager, as on - site deployment hours during which actual operational ice and or snow removal activity or salt treatments are postponed due to a pause in the storm’s ongoing activity. 3.2.1.6 The MTA Light Rail will provide the bulk salt for use on parking lots; the Contractor will be directed to pick up salt from the State Highway Administration (SHA) salt domes. Salt tickets documenting the loads of salt received from SHA must be submitted with invoicing. 3.2.1.7 Safety and training requirements include Railroad Worker Protection (RWP) training. The Contractor shall ensure that personnel attend a one-day safety course annually presented by the MTA prior to personnel working with in fifty (50) feet of any rail road tracks. The Contractor shall furnish the MTA Light Rail Project Manager with a list of names to be enrolled in the RWP training 60 days prior to the start of snow season (November 1). 3.2.1.8 The MTA Light Rail will pay up to four hours per individual for training. 3.2.1.9 The Contractor shall ensure that all personnel are equipped with hard hats, safety vests, safety glasses, and safety boots. Each lookout shall also be equipped with an air horn. This safety equipment is provided by the Contractor at the Contractor’s expense. The Contractor must have a minimum of the following equipment: • Six Front-end loaders with three-yard bucket • Six Front-end loaders with one and a half-yard bucket • Six Dump trucks with plow and salt spreader • Six Bobcats • Five 4X4 Pickup trucks with plow
