Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1.1. MAIN FACILITY, PERIMETER WOODEN FENCING ALONG THE BOARDWALK AND CISTERN, located on the north face of the Main Facility 2.1.1.1. The existing coatings show signs of mildew, peeling, rust staining. Small portions of the Main Facility had shown signs of substrate rot but the Town of Ocean City Department of Public Works has recently replaced the areas of concern with new wood. These news sections have been primed at the time of installation. 2.1.1.2. Preparation • All substrates to be painted should be clean using a standard cleaning solution to remove mildew, dirt and other surface contaminates in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendation of the paint product line to be applied thereafter. Additionally, whether caused by the cleaning efforts or not, any loose or peeling paint shall also be removed prior to applying the new coating. 2.1.2. WOOD SUBSTRATES 2.1.2.1. Spot Prime-all bare areas using PPG 6001-1200G Hydrosealer Exterior Primer/Sealer or Equal 2.1.2.2. Spot Prime-all rust stains using PPG 90-912 Pitt-tech-Tech Industrial Primer or Equal 2.1.2.3. Apply 2 coats of PPG Fortis Exterior Premium Finish 2402 Series Satin Finish OR 2406 SemiGloss Finish, or Equal. 2.1.2.4. The Town shall specify “satin vs Semi Gloss” at the time of Award. 2.1.2.5. It is the Town’s intent to stay with the current color selection on all surfaces.
