Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of the Contract is to provide in-home services to frail seniors sixty (60) years of age or older to help Calvert County residents maintain independence and remain in the community. The Contractor providing this service shall be able to provide adequate staff and to service individuals in all areas of Calvert County with no less than a two (2) hour minimum required per day per client. A. Provide a minimum of two (2) hours per day per client. The typical amount of time for each client is four (4) hours per week, once or twice per week, Monday thru Friday, with possible weekends. Service hours may exceed this amount dependent on client need. The average amount of clients per month is one (1) to four (4) clients. B. Provide the following types of services in order to be considered for award of a contract: (1) Develop a Care Plan/Agreement with client and/or family; provide a needs assessment to assist in the development of Care Plan/Agreement completed by a registered nurse may be required unless waived by the client in writing. (2) Develop personal care as outlined in the Care Plan/Agreement with respect for the privacy and dignity of person being served. The Care Plan shall not assign an aide to perform personal care services that may pose a risk to the client or to an aide. Personal care shall include but shall not be limited to bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance, personal hygiene, and grooming. (3) Housekeeping tasks as outlined in the Care Plan/Agreement. Tasks may include, but are not limited to; laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. (4) Encouragement of individual independence, where appropriate, in performance of tasks.
