Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Develop a Maryland IPP LARC Toolkit. Examples of toolkits from other states will be provided to the vendor. The toolkit must be user-friendly, succinct, include graphics and cover the topics outlined below. Final approval of the toolkit by the Department will be required. a. Why promote IPP LARC services? b. Addressing barriers c. Building administrative support and infrastructure d. Developing a policy and process for IPP LARC use e. Training clinical staff (toolkit should include clinical and training resources) f. Tracking progress and making adjustments as needed (quality improvement) g. Hospital pharmacy stocking procedures h. Medical eligibility i. Lactation and LARC use j. Contraceptive counseling and consent k. Placement and removal techniques l. Hospital billing and reimbursement m. Tools such as sample checklists, order sets, patient instructions, consent forms and counseling guidance, etc. where possible 2. Develop and implement an IPP LARC Toolkit dissemination plan in collaboration with the Department that utilizes online platforms and partnerships with at least 4 identified champions and stakeholder organizations, such as the Maryland chapter of ACOG, the Maryland Perinatal Collaborative, MedChi, hospitals, and obstetric providers. Final approval of the dissemination plan by the Department will be required. 3. Develop and conduct 4-6 clinical training workshops and educational events, such as Grand Rounds, conference and clinical workshops, which may include CMEs, for hospital staff and clinical providers.
