Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Enforce collection of delinquent business personal property taxes that are owed to the County. 2. File lawsuits, locate and serve debtors to effectuate necessary legal actions. 3. Represent the County in tax collection proceedings wherein the County has a claim against the business entity relative to the collection of personal property taxes. 4. Attend all court proceedings, outside of bankruptcy proceedings, as may be necessary to protect the interests of the County. Delinquent accounts of entities in bankruptcy are serviced under a separate agreement. 5. Prepare and file documents as may be required to fully protect the interest of the County. 6. Assist the County in matching business personal property tax debtors with real property ownership in the County. 7. Expertly advise the County Attorney and County's Office of Finance, as may be requested or required, regarding any matters involving the collection of delinquent business personal property taxes.
