Specifications include, but are not limited to: Custody Evaluations, Therapeutic Visitation, Parent Coordinator, Case Monitoring, Custody Evaluations with Psychologicals, Psychological Testing. The Court may request a Family Assessment or a Full Custody Evaluation. The Assessment/Evaluation will include interview(s), (parents, child/ren, counselors, significant others, and extended family when necessary), as well as observations of the family unit, and home studies. Providers may be required to provide testimony to the Court. For your information, an estimate of the possible total number of evaluations annually is 60(divided among contractors). Providers will perform therapeutic evaluation services between children and parents. The goal is to afford children and parents the opportunity to re-establish a meaningful and positive parent/child relationship in a supervised and safe setting. Visitation may occur in the home or office. If providers have a safety concern prior to any visitation services, they should contact the Circuit Court. The function of a parenting coordinator is to help parents involved in high conflict cases, resolve their differences regarding their children and their care in a manner that serves the best interests of the children, minimizes conflict between the parents that could harm the children and fosters cooperation between parents. Coordinator provides ongoing monitoring of the case and may assess the situation and educate the parties regarding child development and communication with all involved parties.
