Specifications include, but are not limited to: Pre-Construction Services to be Performed during the Design Team’s Document Preparation: 1. Design team interaction, including: a. Attendance at design team meetings. b. Constructability reviews. c. Advice on materials and methods. d. Code and life safety input. e. Building and site phasing. 2. Participate in Value-Engineering tasks, including offering strategies and methods used successfully in the past and revision of estimates as needed. Bidding Services: 1. Direct and conduct bidding phase activities, such as scheduling pre-bid meeting(s), bid opening, bid document distribution, compiling and assisting the Owner and Architect in responding to bidder questions, distributing addenda. 2. Actively solicit interest in the Project from local contractors, subcontractors, providers and vendors, with emphasis on Certified MBE entities to assure the Project’s MBE goals are met. Pre-Occupancy Construction Phase Activities: 1. Maintain, monitor and update schedule, and enforce compliance. 2. Execute project delivery strategy that supports ongoing school district activities while maintaining a safe environment for the public, school district staff, students, etc. Post-Occupancy Construction Activities 1. Finalize commissioning process. 2. Warranty responsibilities
