Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) All materials furnished under the terms of the contract shall meet the requirements as set forth in the “Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration Standard Specifications for Construction and Material” dated July 2008 and amended to date with particular reference to Section 503 and any attached specifications. Cecil County Government reserves the right to require the contractor to furnish approved substitute materials if the specified materials are deemed environmentally unsafe during the term of the contract. 2) Each consignment of Bituminous Material shall be accompanied by a certified statement as to type, amount and source of material. 3) With each delivery, the County shall be furnished a “Bituminous Material Loading Ticket,” issued by the refinery representative. 4) Mixing of materials from different storage tanks, or mixing of materials of different types and/or grades from the same or different storage tanks within the carrier, shall not be permitted. Each consignment shall be loaded only from tested and approved refinery stock by competent loaders. 5) EQUIPMENT: - Contractor shall make available no fewer than three (3) asphalt distributors of not less than 3,000-gallon capacity each for the use of CRS-2L for Cecil County during the term of this contract for the performance of work as required by the County. - All vehicles delivering bituminous materials to Cecil County must first have been calibrated by the Maryland State Roads Commission Materials Testing Laboratory and the calibration charges related to these vehicles must be certified by Cecil County Government subsequent to July 1, 2020. - All vehicles delivering bituminous materials under this contract shall have on the truck a measuring stick calibrated in one-quarter inch (1/4”) increments and capacity calibration chart certified by Cecil County subsequent to July 1, 2020. - The contractor shall place on file with the Cecil County representative a list of all equipment, identified by distributor number and vehicle to be used in delivery of bituminous material to Cecil County Government. The contractor shall also furnish copies of the calibration charts to the Cecil County representative for the vehicles listed.
