Specifications include, but are not limited to: Implementing the Maryland Behavior Threat Assessment Model and Mental Health Training and Intervention Support Initiative. As part of this grant, a train-the-trainer model will be developed and implemented to provide behavior threat assessment training to staff in local school systems in the State of Maryland. The focus of this contract will be to deliver three regional trainings across the State (Central Maryland, Western Maryland, Eastern Shore), in collaboration with the MSDE to increase staff awareness of behavioral threats, collaborate with other professionals to identify early warning signs in students, and provide resources and supports to students who may be exhibiting signs and symptoms consistent with behavioral threats to self or others.
