Area #1 Remove asphalt, grass, dirt & widen roadway – approximately 2000 sq. ft. at depth of 6” Layout and barricade off the designated area(s) scheduled for repairs. Excavate areas to be repaired up to an average maximum depth of 6” Dispose of all debris offsite at an asphalt recycling center Square surface of repair and cut walls of repair to produce vertical edges Roll existing sub-base material to achieve maximum density Install 4” of stone aggregate Roll stone sub-base to achieve a true and firm finish Apply Seaboard liquid asphalt cutback tack coat to all vertical edges of repair When necessary, utilize self-propelled asphalt paver, install an average compacted depth of 4” of 19mm hot mix base course asphalt with 64 22 liquid content Roll asphalt base course to achieve a true and firm finish Apply Seaboard liquid asphalt cutback tack coat to surface of asphalt base course to provide proper binding of the new surface course. Utilizing self-propelled asphalt paver, install an average compacted depth of 2” of 9.5mm hot mix surface course asphalt with 64-22 liquid content Roll asphalt surface to achieve a true and smooth finish matching existing grade B. Area #2 (Milling and Asphalt installation approximately 9,240 sq. ft) Surface Milling Layout and mark all areas to be milled Utilizing machinery designed specifically for this operation, mill existing surface as necessary to a maximum depth of 2” for the purpose of creating an area with positive water flow, while ensuring smooth even transitions at all concrete sections, as well as asphalt sections that are not designated to be paved.
