Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Provides direct mental health services to include psychosocial assessments and individual/family therapy to assigned clients; b. Conducts classroom observations as needed to assess problematic behaviors and other areas of concern; c. Maintains regular and ongoing contact with the parent/guardian of each client; d. Coordinates with teachers to assist with implementation of interventions that address challenging behaviors in the classroom; e. Collaborates with school staff to create action plans as a response to interventions; f. Maintains and adheres to COMAR and HIPAA regulations regarding documentation and clinical records, as well as the APA Ethics Principles and Code of Conduct; g. Makes referrals as appropriate; h. Maintains strict confidentiality according to federal and state guidelines and requirements; and i. Responsible for traveling to and from multiple school sites as required by clinical need.
