Specifications include, but are not limited to:Crownsville State Veterans Cemetery is a 103-acre site located in Crownsville, Maryland (Anne Arundel County). Near the center of the cemetery is a one-acre family cemetery dating back to 1875. The cemetery is retained by the heirs and assigns of the Carter family in perpetuity. The Crownsville Veterans Cemetery opened in 1980, and has interred more than 21,000 Maryland veterans and their dependents. When fully developed, the site is expected to provide more than 48,000 burial plots. The Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs seeks grounds maintenance services, to include mowing, trimming, and edging of fifty-five (55) acres of turf located at the Crownsville State Veterans Cemetery. There are 16,621 headstones located within the cemetery site, with an anticipated total of 43,421 headstones to be on site by the end of this contract. The mowing, trimming, and edging area includes grass areas from the Cemetery fence line to the roadways.
