Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFQ is to obtain a research and evaluation specialist who is able to work full time to assist the Maryland State Department of Education’s (MSDE) Division of Student Support, Academic Enrichment, and Educational Policy in coordinating the overall operation of the 2020 School Health Profiles (Profiles) grant surveillance project in collaboration with the MSDE Student Services team. The research and evaluation specialist will work with the MSDE grant team, i.e. CDC Grant Manager, the MSDE Research and Evaluation Specialist, and the MSDE Student Services Team to assist with the 2020 Profiles survey administration. The Research and Evaluation Specialist will be responsible for and assist with the oversight for the implementation of project activities, coordination of surveillance projects with inter-agency staff, coordination with local education agencies/local health agencies; development of materials and provisions for in-services and professional development trainings, conducting meetings, tabulating and interpreting of required data, and is responsible for the overall program evaluation. Additionally, the research and evaluation specialist is responsible for reviewing and analyzing data to include a written trend analysis of the state data collected for the Profiles. Additionally, the research and evaluation specialist may assist the MSDE Grant Manager to ensure all necessary reports/documentation, are submitted for review and approval prior to final submission to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
