Specifications include, but are not limited to: . Project scope of work is to replace the existing Seven (7) Kitchen Building rooftop air conditioning units as follows: a. Existing rooftop units shall be replaced with new in same location as existing, refer to “Attachment D – Drawings” for applicable equipment. b. Existing roof curbs shall be modified as required to accommodate new equipment, provide curb adaptor and/or curb extension as needed to accommodate new footprints and new condensate drain piping. c. Reconnect to existing ductwork as required. Any insulation that is disturbed during installation shall be reinsulated with new, in a manner similar to existing. d. Replace existing thermostat with new seven (7) day programmable thermostat with temperature and humidity set points, LED/LCD display, battery backup and button type or touch sensitive keypad. Verify exact location of existing thermostats in the field. e. All power for control devices shall be furnished, installed and wired by the Contractor. Contractor may use 24VAC or 120VAC for the control system. All new control wiring on building exterior shall be in Seal-Tite conduit or Liquid Tight flexible conduit. All new interior control wiring above ceilings shall be installed in galvanized EMT conduit, the last six (6) inches at connection to equipment shall be flexible metal conduit. Existing raceways in block walls shall be reused where possible. All wiring shall conform to local codes and NEC. f. For gas heat units, reconnect new equipment to existing gas piping on roof. Gas piping shall be extended as required to accommodate new connections, modify gas connection to unit as required. Gas piping materials shall be of similar material and support as existing. g. Replace existing condensate drain piping with new. Drain piping shall be schedule 40 PVC with 1/2” thick closed cell rubber insulation painted with a coating of mastic. New condensate drain piping shall be extended to and discharged into nearest roof gutter (do not discharge directly onto roof). Condensate drain lines shall be supported from roof with Miro Base Strut or Miro Pillow Block supports (or Equal), furnish with spacers, pipe guides and support pads as required for proper slope of condensate. Type/height of support shall be coordinated with existing conditions to avoid conflict with existing gas piping, conduit, etc. on roof. h. Provide factory installed duct smoke detector in supply air and return air of all packaged units. Interlock with fire alarm if fire alarm exists. If no fire alarm exists provide remote audible/visual alarm in occupied space. i. Refer to “Attachment D – Drawings”, Sheets M1, M2 and E1 through E6 for additional work.
