Qualified solar developers (the “Proposers”) are invited to submit proposals (“Proposals”) to own, finance, design, install, operate, monitor and maintain community shared solar photovoltaic projects (collectively, the “Projects”) at the designated Properties. NOLA-PS’ goals for the Projects include: • Provide NOLA-PS students’ families, local neighborhood residents in areas surrounding the project, and other low- and moderate-income (LMI) households across New Orleans an opportunity to save money by switching to lower-cost solar power. • Provide NOLA-PS schools an opportunity to save money by switching to low-cost solar power. • Offer subscribers at least 25% savings from typical costs of electric power in New Orleans. • Coordinate with local workforce development programs and NOLA-PS schools to provide job training and educational opportunities. • Provide business opportunities for certified DBE firms in the solar industry. • Provide lease revenue to OPSB.
