Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The selected Consultant shall provide the methods and resources Medical Knowledge: Practitioners are expected to demonstrate knowledge of established and evolving biomedical, clinical, and social sciences, and the application of their knowledge to patient care and the education of others. 2. Medical and health professionals will provide EMT/LPN/MA coverage at the facility eight (8) hours each day on weekdays and five (5) hours each day on weekends. The hours shall be recorded upon arrival and verified. In the absence of the contractor’s day or evening medical personnel, a replacement must be provided. 3. Onsite drug screenings for staff aligning with City-Parish requirements and provide necessary supplies for the screenings. 4. Medical and health professionals will provide MD/PA twice weekly, a minimum of two (2) hours, on site physical exams, consultations, referrals, and other medical services as may be appropriate. MD/PA will provide physical examinations for all residents at the Center who are held for 48 hours or longer. MD/PA will provide telephone medical consultations as necessary with the medical and supervisory staff of the facility. 5. Medical and health professionals will assume all responsibility for the administration and management of the EMT/LPN/MA/MD/PA services and positions at the Center and will be deemed the Medical Authority. 6. Provide appropriate health trained personnel EMT/LPN/MA to perform duties that will be specified by Service Provider. The duties will include in coordination with the Department of Juvenile Services Director. a. Intake screening and questioning detainees with regard to his/her medical problems. b. Perform Tuberculosis skin test on detainees as directed by the JDC Director or Director’s designee. c. Maintain an orderly and secure system for all medical records in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws regarding privacy. d. Oversee and maintain a secure for the storage and administration of all medications. Maintain an accurate log of the administration of prescription medications. e. Perform daily sick call duties and carry out Physician’s orders when appropriate. f. Schedule all medical services for detainees’ complaints that will require Physician or Dental treatment.
