Specifications include, but are not limited to: Department of Military Affairs/Kentucky National Guard is seeking an individual to maintain an established infrastructure and pilot programs to establish and expand a soldier mentoring program across the Kentucky National Guard's full time and traditional force. Responsible for maintaining and improving the guidelines, digital infrastructure and self-sustaining leadership, and organization culture changes for the Mentoring Program across the Kentucky National Guard (KYNG). Responsible for improving the leadership potential in both the enlisted and officer ranks and thereby creating a long-term sustainable broad pool of qualified candidates for future strategic positions across the organization. Assist potential future leaders in thinking earlier and more holistically about their military careers, advancement opportunities and decisions to remain in the KYNG and to flourish and work toward opportunities they are motivated to achieve. Foster higher retention levels and increase levels of talent and potential as well as fostering growing relationships between exceptional civilians and former military members with the KYNG and thereby increasing the visibility and regard for the KYNG across the Commonwealth. Use existing relationships and networks established in the KYNG’s community outreach program and employer support of the guard and reserve program to reach a broad pool of high quality current and former military members and high visibility community and industry leaders across the civilian sector to act as mentors to KYNG members to grow their potential and expand their network of advisors on a range of personal and professional areas and each individual mentor and mentee relationship adapts to the personalities involved.
