Specifications include, but are not limited to: The TIE Building for Gateway Community and Technical Collage is located in downtown Covington at 520 Madison Ave. The existing building is fully functioning all year. This project includes work on the 3rd and 4th floors. On the 4th floor the existing Drawing Lab will be enlarged from 800sf to 1060sf with the removal of two interior storage rooms. The existing entrance to the lab will be filled in and relocated. The existing student commons area will be enclosed to create a new 990sf Learning Lab. All new Architectural Modular Wall Systems will be provided by owner. MEP work will consist of power, lighting, technology, sprinkler, fire alarm, and HVAC work. Data/power connections at Modular Walls are to be coordinated with the Contractor. . An office will be placed in an available existing space on the 3rd floor. New units will be installed on the roof. This project will provide a minimal interruption to student and staff activity. The renovated spaces are expected to be ready for use at the start of the fall semester of 2018.
