Specifications include, but are not limited to: The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified, experienced, financially sound, and responsible Information Technology based staffing agencies to assist the University of Kentucky Healthcare (“UK Healthcare”) to implement and/or maintain healthcare systems applications in support of the UK Healthcare Enterprise’s strategic objectives. The resultant contract(s) will be for IT support services on an as-needed basis; therefore, services defined for this RFP are general in nature. Our current environment consists of a core clinical suite of products, a core financial suite of products, and a variety of vendor applications supporting departmental or specialty clinical areas. Offerors therefore should form their proposals in such a manner to describe services for the roles in which they are responding rather than directed toward specific projects that are unknown at this time. Following is an example of a few IT services in which external resources could be utilized over the term of the resulting contract(s): • Assist with the analysis phase of a project to include problem assessment, current state workflow and requirements gathering (including evidence based practice and end-user requirements) • Facilitate the documentation and approvals of best practice/future-state workflow for UKHC including completion of a design document according to the UKHC standard template(s) identifying workflow GAP, requirements, configuration specifications and other design requirements incorporating industry recognized Project Methodology guidelines • Assist with configuration, testing, training, and rollout of various software applications • Assist with implementation of upgrades • Provide activation support for implementations • Assist in training and competency validation of end users • Assist with training, policy and procedure development for technical, help desk and user leaders to develop activation and support plans • Provide services to support, enhance, or upgrade UK HealthCare clinical, financial or operations support systems • Develop outcomes plan for project work to ensure documentation of benefits and outcomes evaluation • Assist in development and implementation of downtime strategies to support clinical operations
