Specifications include, but are not limited to: Furnish track or truck mounted offset rotary drill w/operator capable of drilling 7-10IN diameter holes in soil and solid rock to install (IN PLACE) steel railroad rails up to 40FT in length and weighing up to 2000LBS. Vendor must supply and install 155 pieces (6200 LFT) of 40FT railroad rail. This project will be in Elliott County, Kentucky. KY 504 5-6 Mile Post. Modified Rotary Drill with Operator(s): Furnish (1) mounted, modified rotary drill capable of drilling 7 inch to 10 inch diameter holes into soil and rock. The mast jib must be equipped with rigging and cable to lift entire lengths of rail, 40 feet in length and weighing up to 2000 pounds, to be placed and seated in the bottom of the drilled holes. The rotary drill must be capable of drilling offset a minimum of 5 feet from the edge of the tire to the center of the holes and on a 15% slope. The rotary drill shall have a minimum of 150 horsepower motor and at least a 300 cfm compressor capable of 16,000 pounds of down pressure. Vendor must be capable of drilling at the proposed alignment established by the Engineer and of a consistent alignment conducive to attachment of cribbing. All equipment must be road worthy, licensed (if applicable), dependable, safe, and in good working order.
