Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Metro Government is soliciting Design/Build proposals for new roofing replacements on the City Hall Facility (approximately 14,000 SF), and City Hall Annex (approximately 18,210 SF) located at 601 West Jefferson and 611 West Jefferson (respectively), Louisville, KY. Responders are responsible to perform site surveys to familiar themselves with the existing conditions and include provisions to accommodate all features within their proposal. The existing roof systems are to be removed and new roof systems are to be installed. The proposed new roof systems manufacturer shall be identified in the proposal and shall provide a minimum of 20 years (warranted) service life. Roof Area 1: City Hall (Clock Tower): 1) Remove the existing copper roofing system and underlayment down to the existing wood deck. 2) Remove & replace the roof hatch. The new roof hatch shall not reduce the existing opening size. Rework the existing framing as necessary. Flash with lead coated copper. BabcockDavis Personnel Roof Hatch/Service Stair/Galvanized Steel (or approved equal). 3) Remove & replace the wood framing and wood decking over the cast iron deck with new 2x framing and ¾” plywood sheathing. The configuration can be determined during the design phase. 4) Install cold applied, self-adhering, high strength polyethylene membrane similar to Grace Construction Products: “Ice & Water Shield” over entire roof deck. 5) Install a new 20 Oz. Lead Coated Copper flat seam (soldered) roofing system. 6) Temporarily remove the ornamental iron railing from the roof to allow for new roofing then reinstall in same condition with proper bracing, mounting devices and lead coated copper roof penetration flashings.
