Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Bowling Green is soliciting bids for the repair of a 42” drainage pipe that has collapsed between 3284 and 3290 Cave Springs Avenue. Due to the close proximity of the houses to the pipe as well as the depth of the pipe, the City has determined slip-lining of the existing pipe to be the best option for repair. The scope to repair approximately 150 linear feet of pipe includes removing approximately 50 linear feet of collapsed plastic pipe nearest the outlet at the retention basin, replacing that 50’ with 36” Snap-Tite pipe liner and also slip lining approximately 100 linear feet of existing 42” plastic pipe with the same liner. In order to access the area between the two properties, there will be the need to remove a tree as well as some fence along the back property line of the homes. The City will be responsible for purchasing the 36” Snap-Tite HDPE Pipe Liner. This contract includes the installation only. Please refer to Special Instruction #23 for installation specifications and items incidental to the installation. The grout necessary for installation (per specifications) will be separate of this contract and paid directly to the contractor through the Snap-Tite supplier.
