Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Louisville Free Public Library (LFPL), a department of Louisville Metro Government, is seeking proposals from vendors who are interested in providing coffee, beverage, and limited food service to library patrons at the new 36,000 square foot Northeast Regional Library in the Hurstbourne Parkway corridor. This facility is located on a 13.4-acre park-like setting that is shared with a circa 1860’s Italianate mansion at 1 Bellevoir Circle and Ormsby Station Road near the Northeast YMCA. This regional library will provide participatory, hands-on learning experiences with a maker space pavilion, as well as traditional services such as circulating materials, information services and computer/Internet access. A small café space will be located adjacent to the main entrance. The café opens to a larger marketplace-style lobby with additional seating. Patrons will be encouraged to take food and drink into the library to make their visit more enjoyable.
