Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Instructor led training and certification to clinical staff in behavioral management skills. These skills must be applicable to the geriatric population, patients with PTSD, dementia, or other stress disorders. Skills taught must include verbal intervention, de-escalation, and no-harm physical intervention. The certification needs to be based on a model that has been successfully field tested and proven to work. Documentation on success of model need to be submitted with bid. 2. Additional training on recognition and reduction of potential behavioral crisis situation, building a culture that aids and assists patients with behavioral disorders to remain calm, and building healthy relationships to aid in de-escalation is preferred 3. Training that provides both basic certification, which means that the student has achieved a level of mastery to implement the behavioral management practices, and instructor certification, which certifies students to be able to train basic level certification within their facility is required. 4. Provide documents to be used to complete basic level certifications with permission/ authority to use materials for that intent is required. 5. Annual follow up and certification is preferred. 6. Training must be provided on site at the facility.
