Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Authority is seeking proposals from licensed, experienced and qualified property and casualty insurance brokers to provide core “broker-of-record” insurance services for the competitive marketing and placement of property and casualty insurance for the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, the airport operator for Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and Bowman Field in Louisville, Kentucky. While the exact range and extent of Services will be subject to negotiation, it is anticipated that the selected Company(ies) shall provide, as a minimum, professional services and dedicated personnel necessary to perform the following: A. Develop a complete understanding of Authority areas of exposure and risk management philosophy. B. Evaluate existing insurance contracts, review claims history and make recommendations for modifications, deletions or additions to the terms, conditions and coverage limits needed to yield an effective, comprehensive insurance program. C. Have access to programs, products and insurers capable of meeting the Authority’s unique insurance needs and prepare bid specifications for markets capable of quoting the needed coverages. D. When so authorized by the Authority by means of a “Broker of Record” letter, approach appropriate markets on behalf of the Authority to obtain pricing with respect to the coverages sought by the Authority. If and when available, a minimum of at least three (3) competitive quotes from reputable insurance carriers, licensed in Kentucky with an AM Best rating of at least an A, will be obtained for each type of policy. E. Present for consideration by the Authority in an understandable format, an evaluation of the results for each solicitation with a comprehensive financial analysis and recommendations for selection of an insurer plan for each type of insurance. F. Participate with designated Authority employees and independent consultants in selection of the most advantageous coverage available and negotiate on behalf of the Authority details of insurance contracts with selected carriers. G. Audit insurance contracts upon receipt to assure accuracy of terms, conditions, rates and administrative procedures. Deliver same to the Authority upon completion of audit. H. Upon request, provide support to the Authority staff in obtaining responses and clarification from underwriters or adjusters to coverage or claims questions.
