Specifications include, but are not limited to: a) The Contractor shall identify and actively solicit applications from professionals who meet the identified search criteria using the Contractor’s proprietary files, nationwide networks, other healthcare institutions, and other resources as may be required. Any advertising referencing the University of Kentucky shall be approved in writing by the University. All costs associated for advertising shall remain the responsibility of the Contractor. b) The Contractor shall comply with the University’s Equal Opportunity policy 2.0. This policy may be viewed at http://www.uky.edu/HR/policies/hrpp002.html . c) The Contractor shall work closely with the Search Committee to develop and evaluate a pool of candidates for consideration in filling the position required. The Contractor shall review with the Search Committee all candidates, including each candidate’s background and qualifications, and assist the Search Committee in identifying candidates to be interviewed. The Contractor shall present detailed summaries on each candidate it recommends to be interviewed. d) The Contractor shall be responsible for coordinating interviews with the selected candidates. e) The Contractor shall collaborate with the UKHC HR department to ensure UK policies and procedures are followed prior to any interviews held at the University. f) From the group interviewed, the Contractor shall assist the Search Committee in developing a “short list” of semifinalist candidates, as appropriate. The Contractor shall work closely with the Search Committee and other appropriate University officials to evaluate the shortlisted candidates. g) The Contractor shall also research the background of any individuals identified on the “short list”. The research shall include but not be limited to Facebook, MySpace, Google, LexisNexis, and public court records in all locations the prospect has lived or worked. The Contractor shall provide a list of searches that were completed and any information on the “short list” prospects to the Chair(s) of the Search Committee. h) For each recommended semifinalist, the Contractor shall certify educational credentials and obtain two or more initial professional references. The University may provide background material, including financial statements, annual reports, catalogues, organizational charts and staff biographies which the Contractor may request, for transmittal to the prospects. i) For the finalist candidate, the Contractor shall be asked to conduct additional in depth personal and professional reference checks, verifying facts, figures, and performance data provided by the candidate and assessing the candidate’s overall ability and reputation. The result of these reference checks shall be reported to the Search Committee and discussed thoroughly. j) The Contractor shall verify with the Institutional Equity (Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action) office (or similar purpose office) of the previous institutions where the finalist candidate was employed that there are no present complaints against the candidate, that there were no complaints on record against the candidate, that there was no action taken against the candidate, or that there is not pending action to be taken against the candidate.
