Specifications include, but are not limited to: Events include but are not limited to the KY State Fair, North American Intl Livestock, National Farm Machinery Show and other events as needed. Services should include Advanced Life Support being one (1) certified Paramedic, one (1) certified Emergency Medical Technician and a fully equipped ambulance capable of making emergency runs off the grounds to local hospitals. To be utilized for events as needed. This agreement will include service at both facilities of the Kentucky State Fair Board the Ky Exposition Center and Ky International Convention Center. The Kentucky State Fair requires an ambulance for approximately 180.00 hours over the eleven day event. Times may vary depending on the times of the Fair Events in which an ambulance is needed onsite. Other events may need an ambulance onsite and the KSFB will submit a delivery order to the awarded contractor as soon as they know ambulance service is needed. Contractor cannot contract individually with clients of events for the KSFB. Contractor must bill the KSFB directly at the prices awarded. The successful vendor must meet the following minimum requirements and submit all documentation to Shawn Hensler at the Ky State Fair Board within 30 days of award of contract: *Provide proof of certification of all personnel assigned to work under this agreement, with the KSFB, in advanced life support. *Proof of liability insurance naming the Kentucky State Fair Board as additional insured and including the following statement: in no way does the Kentucky State Fair Board, its agents, servants or employees waive their sovereign immunity in any activity covered. The successful vendor shall provide at no charge to the agency: radio communications equipment, to communicate with while on the KSFB property, and must provide a backup ambulance at no extra charge, if transporting patient off the property. The successful vendor must be able to provide up to two (2) additional ambulance units if needed and requested by the Kentucky State Fair Board. These units will be at contract unit price. Contracted ambulance units must be dedicated to the Kentucky State Fair Board (no outside activity runs) All personnel would be required to be familiar with the Kentucky State Fair Board emergency procedures and guidelines and facilities layout. This information will be provided to the awarded Vendor. Due to the type of events, it is anticipated that the successful vendor would need to have up too ten (10) trained and certified staff members. The Kentucky State Fair Board reserves the right to contract with other governmental agencies to provide additional life support services. The number of hours is an estimate and not to be taken as guarantees. The KSFB reserves the right to be billed for only hours used. No overtime rates will be allowed. Vendor to bid an hourly rate for fully staffed advanced life support unit. The Kentucky State Fair Board reserves the right to remove any employees from the certification list as they deem necessary.
