Specifications include, but are not limited to:. Admissions, Mentoring & Placement (AMP) Coordinators must be able to work flexible hours in an assigned region. Considerable in-state travel may be necessary to provide the services required. It is anticipated that up to 140 hours per month will be required to perform these services. AMP Coordinators will not work over the allotted 140 hours per month without prior approval from the Director of Appalachian ChalleNGe Academy and total hours will not go over the contracted number of hours. It is desirable that the selected individuals live in the supported area, though not required. Experience and established contacts with agencies supporting the ChalleNGe effort in the supported area will weigh heavily in the final selection. Assigned regions can vary, and may include: 1. Northeastern Kentucky - to include but not limited to Greenup, Boyd, Lewis, Carter, Rowan, Elliott, Lawrence, Morgan, Johnson, Martin, Magoffin, Menifee, Powell, Clark Counties, etc. 2. Southeastern Kentucky - to include but not limited to Pike, Floyd, Knott, Letcher, Perry, Leslie, Harlan, Breathitt, Wolfe, Lee, Owsley, Jackson, Clay Counties, etc. 3. Central / Southeastern Kentucky - to include but not limited to Fayette, Madison, Garrard, Estill, Lincoln, Rockcastle, Pulaski, Laurel, Wayne, McCreary, Whitley, Knox, Bell Counties, etc. AMP Coordinators will be required to travel to Harlan, KY and any place required for staff, mentor, and cadet training to include but not limited to Frankfort, Ft. Knox, regional National Guard Armories, etc
