Specifications include, but are not limited to: Include the parking lot, sidewalks, ramps of the property and lawn areas. Regarding snow and ice: Work shall proceed if two or more inches of snow and ice have accumulated or if the local forecast expects more than two inches to fall prior to the next work day. The specified work shall be completed prior to 7 AM during the normal work week. If slick or icy conditions exist, a traction application shall be applied to the parking lots and an ice melt application shall be applied to all sidewalks and entrances. Agency will not contact the Contractor to request services at the time of need. Requirements for snow pushing/removal and ice treatment: 1. Snow shall be pushed only to a location(s) as predetermined by an agency representative. 2. All plowing shall be completed by no later than 7 a.m. of the first business day after a snowfall. a) i.e. if the snowfall happens overnight during the week, it needs to be cleared before 7 AM when staff begins arriving. If it happens on the weekend, it needs to be cleared before 7 AM on Monday unless Monday is a holiday b) In the event of a heavy storm, the Contractor may need to return during the day at the agency's discretion in order to clear driveways/aisles. 3. In the event that snowfall is less than two (2”) inches, no service shall be performed without approval from an agency representative. 4. Ice treatment is required any time the agency deems that weather conditions have resulted in hazardous conditions. a) Pre-treatment services shall be utilized at the agency’s discretion, only upon request from an authorized DDS representative. Regarding lawn care: Mowing area is approximately 25,500 square feet. Grass will be mowed and trimmed in such a manner as to maintain all property in a neat attractive manner. This shall include bagging of grass clippings or other acceptable means of removal of clippings, trimmings, etc. All turf areas inaccessible to mowing equipment will be trimmed as needed, on a weekly basis, to maintain a neat, professional appearance. Mowing shall commence at the start of the growing season and shall continue throughout the growing season until the first killing frost. Normal growth should require weekly mowing except in periods of extremely dry weather in which case cutting frequency will be determined by growth height. In any event, services may conclude prior to the first frost at the direction of a designated agency contact person. Edging of walks, curbs, etc shall also be done on a weekly basis. Excessive debris resulting from edging shall be collected and removed Bushes are to be trimmed on an as needed basis per designated agency contact person.
