Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sanitation Inspection Services a. A sanitation inspection shall be completed at each existing dental practice location no later than 36 months after completion of the previous sanitation inspection. b. A minimum of 90 existing practice locations shall be inspection every three months. c. In the event the Board receives a sanitation complaint for any dental practice location, respond to the sanitation complaint no later than ten (10) business days after the Board provides the sanitation complaint to contractor. d. Dentist may subcontract with other Kansas licensed dentists or hygienists (“Subcontractor”) as needed to accomplish sanitation inspection services. The Board or its designee shall approve each Subcontractor. e. The Board or its designee, in its sole and exclusive discretion, may establish general guidelines and assign other associated duties for contractor to follow when performing sanitation inspection services. Sedation Inspection Services a. A sedation inspection shall be completed at each existing dental practice location no later than 36 months after completion of the previous sedation inspection. The sedation inspection may be performed at the same time as the sanitation inspection. A minimum of 60 existing practice locations shall be inspected each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). b. Dentist may subcontract with other Kansas licensed dentists or hygienists to perform sedation inspection services for Level I sedation permit holders. The Board or its designee shall approve each Subcontractor. c. Dentist may only subcontract with other Kansas licensed dentists to perform sedation inspection services for Level II and Level III sedation permit holders. The Board or its designee shall approve each Subcontractor. d. The Board or its designee, in its sole and exclusive discretion, may establish general guidelines and assign other associated duties for dentist to follow when performing sedation inspection services.
