This RFP is being issued to enable KDOC to standardize the IP video system software across its facilities. Objectives of this standardization include: A. Enabling efficient access to facility video from the Central Office. B. Reducing and simplifying operational training for the VMS. C. Establishing efficient technical support from the system manufacturer. D. Obtaining fair and predictable pricing for the initial installation and for recurring costs such as licensing fees, software upgrades or technical support. E. Procuring an open-platform VMS software that will allow the use of multiple suppliers for all of the hardware required for a complete system, including video servers, RAID storage, workstations, cameras and encoders.
