Specifications include, but are not limited to: (a) Furnish, apply, install, connect, erect, clean and condition manufactured articles, materials and equipment per the manufacturer's printed directions unless otherwise indicated or specified. (b) Manufacturer's printed directions must be on the job prior to and during installation of materials and equipment. (c) Provide all attachment devices and materials necessary to secure materials together or to other materials and to secure the Work of other trades. (d) Make allowances for ample expansion and contraction for all building components subject to same. (e) Each trade shall provide sleeves, recesses and openings in their Work as required to receive Work of other trades. (f) Make field checks of actual building dimensions before fabricating products. (g) Where proper fitting of Work depends upon close tolerances of manufactured products, furnish the manufacturer with all necessary templates to ensure a proper fit of all components. (h) Install materials only when conditions of temperature, moisture, humidity and the adjacent building components are conducive to achieve the best installation results. (i) In job assembling, each trade shall properly cut and fit to make its assemblies fit accurately and shall cut and fit as necessary for other trades having Work occurring therein. Correct errors in cutting, shop fabrication and installation. Where necessary to cut into other building components, do so only in a manner not to damage the building structurally or aesthetically, then repair adjoining parts thoroughly and neatly. (j) Handle materials in a manner to prevent scratching, abrading, distortion, chipping, breaking or other disfigurement. (k) Unless indicated otherwise, fabricate and install materials true-to-line, plumb and level. Leave finished surfaces smooth and flat or of a smooth contour where indicated, free from wrinkles, warps, scratches, dents or other imperfections. (I) Provide quality of workmanship not less than the commercially accepted standards of each trade. (m) Where obviously of the best practice, furnish materials in the longest practical lengths and largest practical sizes to avoid unnecessary jointing. Make all joints secure.
