Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Division of Arts and Cultural Services is seeking qualified vendor(s) with knowledge in conservation, cleaning, preservation and restoration procedures for various public sculptures and art within the City of Wichita. First part of the program will include an assessment for identified pieces in the collection. The second part will include an annual cleaning and maintenance schedule for the collection’s works. The interested vendor(s) need to be members of a professional art conservation organization. Qualified vendors need to have experience in the conservation, maintenance, repair, restoration and cleaning of various bronze patinas as well as other alloy metals which may have painted or coated surfaces. Qualified vendors must also have experience with cleaning, maintenance, repair and restoration of other mediums such as ceramic tile, granite, limestone, painted murals, tile murals and wood or be willing to hire an outside consultant to complete the necessary cleaning, maintenance or repairs. The collection does include with a few landmark size pieces which may require the use of scaffolding or special equipment for cleaning. In addition, the collection includes several large painted murals, multiple ceramic tile murals and large concrete installations along the City’s main highway corridor. Sculptures range in date from 1932 to present
