Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City will accept rates to perform site restoration within the City of Bonner Springs. Site Restoration includes roadway and/or landscaping work to return the area to the previous condition or better. The work shall be completed in several locations within the City during 2018. a) Asphalt Restoration: 1) Street Patch Repair: The Contractor will remove six-inches (6") of temporary fill (typically less than 125 psi Flow-able fill concrete) from various size street patches and back-cut all sides one-foot (12"). Placement of BM-2 or equivalent asphalt material shall be a minimum of three (3) lifts, to a minimum depth of six-inches (6") after compaction. 2) Full Depth Repair shall consist of removal of the existing asphalt to a minimum depth of eight-inches (8"). Placement of BM-2B or equivalent asphalt material shall be a minimum of two (2) lifts to the minimum depth of six-inches (6") and a final 2” surface course using BM-2 or equivalent. 3) Mill and Patch shall consist of the removal of a minimum of two-inches (2") of pavement, apply tack oil and replace with new asphalt material. b) Concrete Restoration: 1) Street Repairs: The Contractor will remove 6" of temporary fill (typically less than 125 psi flow-able fill concrete) from various size street patches and back-cut all sides 12". Installation 4000 psi fiber reinforced concrete to a minimum depth of 6". Extra depth may be required based on existing pavement (See Std. Detail 29-4B). 2) Full Depth Repairs: The Contractor shall remove 8”-10” of existing concrete to subsurface base material and replace with 4000 psi fiber reinforced concrete. 3) Sidewalk Repairs: Sidewalks require 4" 4000 psi fiber reinforced. Temporary fill under driveway approaches will be AB-3, placed by the Public Works Department (See Std. Detail 23-4). Included in sidewalk repairs includes the replacement or addition of standard sidewalk ramps and ADA ramps. In the case of ADA ramps, the City will provide the 2’x4’ fiberglass ADA truncated dome panels necessary for each ADA ramp. The Contractor will be responsible for setting the panels. 4) Driveway Approaches: Driveways approaches require 6" 4000 psi fiber reinforced. Temporary fill under driveway approaches will be AB-3, placed by the Public Works Department (Std. Detail 23-4). 5) Curb & Gutter: Curb and gutter must be installed per Bonner Springs Specifications Section 2209. Saw cutting will be allowed depending on the job site conditions with dowel pin placement. Concrete material shall be 4000 psi fiber reinforced (See Std. Detail 22-5).
