Specifications include, but are not limited to: Three (3) - Two wheel utility sign trailers for delivery to Topeka. The component parts of the unit shall be of proper size and design to safely withstand maximum stresses imposed in anticipated usage. The axle shall be located in such a position that the load will be properly divided between the front and rear of the trailer with 15 to 20 percent of the GVW on the hitch. The trailer shall be equipped with heavy duty drawbar safety chains and a 5000-pound capacity hydraulic or screw type adjustable stiff leg, capable of being locked in the upright and stored position, for use when the trailer is not connected to the towing unit. The unit shall have fully encompassing fenders with backs. The unit shall comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. The payload capacity of the unit, including the springs and axle, shall be a minimum of 6000 pounds. The platform width shall be a minimum of 80". The platform length shall be a minimum of 10'0".
