Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide for the removal and replacement of the roof at the Farlington Fish Hatchery Office. The project consists of reroofing an approximately 2400 square foot building with a dormer and two valleys adjacent to a dormer. The successful bidder shall: 1. Removal and disposal of old materials. 2. Remove existing turbine vents and repair holes with a minimum ¾” plywood. 3. Existing guttering to remain in place. 4. Seal around all existing through roof items (vents, chimneys, dormer, etc.) using new flashing materials. 5. Provide a list, to be approved by hatchery manager, of materials to be used including manufacturer and model numbers. 6. Assumption of responsibility for damages to building and property. 7. Complete the project, including cleanup, by July 31, 2018. Alternate #1 Metal Roof 1. Metal shall be 26 gauge or heavier. 2. Normal lap needs to be installed from peak to gutter. 3. Install ridge vent system appropriate to roofing material used. System must be designed to stop blowing snow etc. from infiltrating attic space. 4. Bid should include all appropriate matching trim for installation including but not limited to drip edge and J-channel. 5. Bid will include 40 mil Ice and water shield under roofing materials. Alternate #2 Composite Roof 1. Shingles will be equivalent to GAF Timberline HD or heavier. 2. Install shingle-over ridge vent system equivalent to GAF Cobra Snow Country. System must be designed to stop blowing snow etc. from infiltrating attic space. 3. Replacement of roofing felt with 30 pound (#30) or heavier. 4. Replacement of metal drip edge with 3” or wider metal edging.
