Specifications include, but are not limited to: The WHA anticipates the need for extended-stay accommodations to be within the AMP 1 highrise dwellings. Residents residing in AMPs 2, 3, and 4 will be relocate to other vacant Public Housing units, thus reducing the need for offsite lodging for residents in those AMPs. The WHA prefers to have residents remain in one location throughout the duration of the renovations. Basic Amenities: The WHA requires the contracted Landlord/Extended Stay provider(s) to provide basic amenities to each of the relocated Public Housing households including a kitchen area equipped with refrigerator and stove. Inspections: All extended stay units shall meet the required housing quality standards as determined by WHA applicable rules. An inspection request will be submitted by the WHA property management team and will be completed before any temporary moves occur. Length of Stay: The length of extended stay for Public Housing tenants will vary based on the time needed for renovations. Length of stay can range from six weeks to up to one year. The WHA will provide a notice to the Lodging provider of pending move out once the tenant can return to their original residence. Damages/Pest Control: The WHA will be responsible for covering the cost of any damages and pest control as a result of the resident’s extended stay to the extent of available HUD funding. The WHA will address any pest control issues prior to relocation to temporary residence to eliminate the possibility of pests transferring with the tenant.
