Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) Garage door: Insulated 10’ x 10’ overhead with operator. 2) Concrete: 5” concrete in vehicle bay (12’ x 40’). 4” concrete for remainder of building and breezeway. An alternate bid shall be given for the access drive from the existing parking lot to the overhead door location. 3) Interior wall separating vehicle parking area including interior door to get access from kennel area to vehicle parking area. 4) Interior wall finishes: Interior walls of the kennel portion of the addition shall be covered with 4mm or 1/8” +/- white plastic sheets over 5/8” plywood. The bottom 2’ of the plywood backing shall have a water proofer or sealer applied. Plastic sheets shall be suitable for use in kennel areas that would be subject to power washing. Sheeting should also be impact resistance, chemical resistant, made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and UV stable. Ceiling can be either metal clad sheeting or 1/2” Sheet rock, finished and painted white in color. Interior finish in the vehicle bay can be either the same as the kennel or metal clad sheeting. The interior walls and ceiling of the breezeway shall covered 5/8” Type X Sheet Rock, finished and painted white. 5) Building insulation: R18 in walls minimum. Drywall ceiling: R24 blowin insulation. Breezeway does not need to be insulated. 6) Electricity: 200 amp service. Minimum outlets required by code. Wiring shall be ran in conduit on the outside of the interior wall finishes. Electrical service shall connect to the existing electrical box located on the south exterior wall of the existing building. 7) Ventilation system (energy efficient) 8) Plumbing: Connections for Utility sink (provided by City, location to TBD by Animal Shelter Staff), two hose bibs (each on opposite ends of the building). Piping shall be ran on the outside of the interior wall finishes. On-demand water heater shall be supplied for utility sink. 9) Sewer: Two separate floor trench drains located under the kennels with ¼” grate openings. Existing sewer service cleanouts that will be located in the breeze-way will need to be converted to floor covered clean outs. Sewer service is along the north side of the proposed Kennel addition 10) Natural Gas: Need connection for hot water for high pressure spray equipment. Location for the gas line terminus shall be determined by Animal Shelter Staff. 11) Lighting: LED (energy efficient) lighting. Motion sensor lighting for breezeway. 12) Fire Doors: All fire doors will require a window
