Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Notification to the Bioarchaeology at the Office of the State Archaeologist and the State Historic Preservation Office when the work will be scheduled to be conducted. This should be done at least two weeks in advance of the initiation of the work.2. Auger or shovel testing at 5 m intervals to define boundaries, avoiding any sensitive areas identified by the GPR and soil coring. All soils will be screened through 1/4-inch mesh, and all soils described.3. The Phase I survey will create an inventory of all cultural properties within the area of concern. The final report will include recommendations as to whether further archaeological work is needed, and, if so, describe this suggested work.
