Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. On each Line item bid, Bidder must indicate brand name, size, origin etc. on the submitted bid. 2. Bidder must bid the size and packaging as requested on the bid. 3. All freight charges and fuel costs must be in the bid price. All bid prices must be a delivered to the warehouse. 4. Freight that doesn't meet the Agencies specifications will be refused. 5. Freight with dented cans or leakers will be refused. If there are dented cans in the middle of the pallet, these cans will be set aside and credit will be issued or the whole load may be refused and you will be expected to pick it up at your expense. 6. Product must be on pallets and shrink wrapped. 7. Trailers must be insulated and clean. 8. Bidders may be asked to submit a sample for testing. 9. Canned product may not be received frozen. 10. Purchase orders will not be paid until all items on the purchase orders are delivered. 11. Product absolutely cannot be older than two (2) years old. Product will be returned to you at Bidders expense. 12. Product past 30 days from receipt of the PO is considered late. Product will be awarded to the next lowest bidder or placed out to bid. 13. Consideration will be given to product that is packed in the USA. 14. A constant problem with a brand will be removed from the warehouse and may not be accepted again. 15. By referencing the USDA grade standards for products, the condition of the container is implied in the standard. It is your responsibility to ensure that the USDA standards are met for product and container. It will be the Bidders responsibility to pick up and replace product and pay to the CDC Warehouse any costs they incur. 16. Bidders must ship product they indicated on the submitted bid. 16. Bidders must be able to provide proof of pack date and pack origin if requested. Pack date codes must be accompanied with a key when requested. 17. The term ”Current” as applied to pack date is within one year of the date the bid is submitted. 18. Yield of products after preparation to manufacturer’s recommendations or instructions will be taken into consideration for award. 19. All products must be labeled.
