Specifications include, but are not limited to: Review and assess the successes and challenges of the 15 community colleges adopting guided pathway strategies and processes. Assess how work-based learning is integrated into the pathways and how equity gaps for various student demographics are closed. Collect a range of data across multiple sources to ensure triangulation and an iterative approach to the evaluation, to address these areas. Facilitate and review the colleges’ use of self-assessment tools (e.g., CCRC Guided Pathways Essential Practices: Scale of Adoption Self-Assessment-Revised August 2018) to act upon college strengths, weaknesses, and priorities for the project as pertaining to GP development, equity and work-based learning. The Contractor will document each college’s workplan outcomes, and give input and feedback through biannual reviews of progress against the workplan. participate in webinars, learning network conversations, face-to-face convenings and other electronic communications to assess progress and success of the colleges’ GP workplan and will engage the IDOE and Technical assistance vendor to confirm levels of engagement and commitment. assess the state of Iowa’s ability to build capacity and develop the community college system of colleges into an in-state student success-oriented organization. All colleges will be expected to collaborate with the IDOE and with the Contractor through regular communication and data sharing relevant to the guided pathways project.
