Description

Specifications include, but are not limited to: Microscope All-In-One Feature The all-in-one feature allows for the system to be installed in the optimal location for researchers without being restricted by the need for a darkroom, thus enabling observation in a bright, open space. Electronic Control Systems To reduce the overall evaluation time through streamlining operations and easy manipulation for users who are unfamiliar with the microscope, electronic control systems that can be operated simply with a mouse in lieu of manually adjusting are necessary. Electronic XY Axes Stage In order to accurately capture the localization of signals, positioning should be available in pitches of 0.1 μm or below, and focusing must be possible in 0.1 μm or in smaller steps. In addition, for the purpose of catering to various experiments planned for the future, a travel range of 100 mm x 64 mm will be required for the observation of organs, including the brain and kidneys. Fluorescence Filter Switching To select the optimal filter for each reagent and enable multi-fluorescence imaging there must be four parts that allow for fluorescence filter switching. Mountable Objective Lenses Up to six lenses should be mountable at a time with a magnification of 2x to 100x. This feature allows the researcher to use a wide range of objective lenses, from high magnification lenses for localized observation in high resolution to lower magnification lenses for macro observation. Cooled Monochrome CCD The microscope should be equipped with a cooled monochrome CCD with a cooling temperature more than 25ºC below ambient temperature. Additionally, a mechanism that captures images in full color, with the insertion of color filters via electronic control, should be available. This is necessary for achieving high-speed, high-sensitivity, highgradation imaging required for research. Also, the cooled monochrome CCD should provide high data linearity to ensure the reliability of quantitative evaluations. Optimal Instrument Size The microscope (main unit) should be installable within a space of 500 mm (H) x 350 mm (W) x 500 mm (D) with its panel closed for the best efficiency of the experiments. Navigation Function The microscope should be equipped with a navigation function with which the observation point moves to the location clicked on the wide-area map image, enabling high-magnification observation while having an overall picture with a wide-area map image that is keyed to the XY stage coordinate information. All mountable lenses should allow the generation of a wide-area map image. This is required to reduce imaging time, by making possible positioning using high-magnification lenses without frequent switching between low magnification lenses and highmagnification lenses. Ability to Stitch Images The microscope should be equipped with a function that seamlessly stitches images (maximum of 50,000 x 50,000 pixels) captured via the automatic range set-up when the imaging range is specified using any mountable lens. This function is necessary for enhanced visibility through the capability to simultaneously observe the overall image which allows for accurate observation of both the overall image and detailed images at the same time. Microscope should have the capability to easily capture a high-definition, wide area image.
